Norwalk Hospital Physician Assistants Develop National Conference CME Tract

Tim Stewart and Veronica Genovez, Norwalk Hospital Vascular/Thoracic Service PAs, will co-chair the Vascular Tract CME portion of the 36th annual Association of PAs in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (APACVS) Conference in New Orleans, LA in March 2017.

They were appointed by Brad Ledzian, PA-C , distinguished graduate of the Norwalk/Yale PA Residency Program and CME Chairman of the APACVS conference. Brad is currently a ‎Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgical/Critical Care PA at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Fla.

Additionally, one of the lectures in each of the Vascular and Thoracic tracts will be developed by the PA Residents in the Norwalk/Yale PA Residency and included for presentation at the conference. This marks the first time that PA Residents will be involved at this level in the conference. Tim and Veronica will be the mentors for the vascular lecture and Holly Zurich, PA-C at Yale–New Haven Hospital, and also a graduate of the residency here, will be the mentor for the thoracic topic.

“This national exposure is an honor for Brad, Tim, Veronica, and Holly, and a great reflection on the Norwalk Hospital PA Program,” said Lewis Berman, MD and Vice President, Medical Affairs for Norwalk Hospital.

The APACVS is the leader in Cardiovascular and Thoracic education and professional development of Physician Assistants who practice in cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery and critical care.
