WCHN Provides Ten Submissions for JD Thompson Award

The JD Thompson Award stands for excellence in the delivery of healthcare through the use of data. WCHN provided ten submissions that included improvements in door-to-balloon time for myocardial infarctions, Stroke and COPD care, reductions in VAP incidence and unnecessary Laboratory testing and other important initiatives.

All of the efforts involved teamwork, were linked to more cost efficient care, and had measurable results with improved outcomes for our patients-representing well the core values of our Network. They also represent the direction that health care needs to go for a sustainable future with well managed care for our patients. Next time you see a colleague in the hall, ask them what’s new, and don’t forget the well-deserved pat on the back goes a long way to improving how we care for our patients.
