One of the improvements that the Medical Staff asked for was improving the patient scheduling process and increasing the hours that we are open to schedule patients. With the opening of the DHS Contact Center, we have started our redesign of these processes; minimizing the total time office staff and physicians spend on the phone while they are scheduling their patients.
The DHS Contact Center schedules appointments for testing at the Danbury Hospital Medical Arts Center, Danbury Diagnostic Imaging, Ridgefield Diagnostic Imaging, and for radiological services provided at the main campus of Danbury Hospital. Your staff and patients will be able to schedule appointments for one or more tests on the same day, in one or multiple locations. In addition, the DHS Contact Center provides patients with courtesy appointment reminder calls.
The DHS Contact Center, (203) 739-4999, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
We are receiving feedback daily to improve on what we have already. To date, we have reduced the number of questions that the Contact Center is asking. We have also built a competency center for complex testing protocols including MRI and other scans. We are striving to improve and are continuing to listen to your feedback to create the optimal experience for both your staff and the patient.
