Dr. Charash Elected President of Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians

David Charash, DO, was elected president of the Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians, CCEP. Members include more than 450 emergency physicians in Connecticut.
The Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians exists to support quality emergency medical care and to promote the interests of emergency physicians in Connecticut. CCEP actively supports Continuing Medical Education and other scientific assemblies and supports health care legislation both at the state and national level.
Dr. Fong Honored
Jack Fong, MD
The national American Academy of Pediatrics has recognized Jack S. C. Fong, MD, for his “extraordinary dedication and many years of devoted service to pediatrics, children and his community.” The CT Chapter of AAP presented the award to Dr. Fong on Thursday, November 1, during the 22nd Annual Pediatrics Update Conference held at Danbury Hospital.
Dr. Zuccala Named to Endowed Chair
Keith Zuccala, MD
Keith Zuccala, MD, Director of Laparoscopic Surgery, has been named to the new Harold and Myra Spratt Chair in Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Dr. Zuccala will assume Danbury Hospital’s third endowed chair, the second to be added this year. This chair will support the hospital’s successful program in minimally invasive surgery. Income from the endowment will allow the hospital to provide more services and will support additional research, postgraduate medical education, and development of the center.
