WCHN Welcomes Sharon Adams, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer

Sharon Adams has assumed the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer responsible for overseeing all of nursing leadership to ensure quality patient care, enhanced patient experience and sound financial stewardship of WCHN and its various entities. She will also be responsible for the establishment and implementation of all nursing practice standards and policies and procedures across WCHN.

Sharon joins WCHN from the Sisters of Providence Health System/Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts where she has served as Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Quality Officer since 2004. Earlier she worked at Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) in Manchester and Rockville where she served as both Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive of ECHN and Administrator of Rockville General Hospital.
