The New Vision for New Milford Hospital

The WCHN Board of Directors has approved a promising new vision for New Milford Hospital. Guided by insights and recommendations from key community leaders and physicians, the vision reflects the needs and interests of the New Milford community, along with the changes required to succeed in today’s healthcare environment. How do we shift our focus from illness to wellness? What services will our community need to maintain optimal health, now and into the future?

We will create a new model for delivering care, with emphasis on the most highly demanded services: primary care offices, supporting diagnostic services, emergency care, cancer care, surgery and inpatient services. We do anticipate transferring patients requiring critical care and highly specialized services to Danbury Hospital.

As healthcare rapidly transitions toward an accountable care model, New Milford Hospital is well positioned to provide the front line focus on primary and preventative care, keys to population health management.

This new direction for New Milford Hospital assures that the excellent healthcare we provide to our community will be sustainable and scalable far into the future.
